About us
Sewing made simple — and a little bit magical
The sewing pattern designer and creator behind The Sewing Birdie.
My sewing journey started over 8 years ago with a simple idea: I wanted to make the clothes I imagined in my head. What began as a hobby turned into a passion for sewing, fashion design and pattern making — and eventually, The Sewing Birdie.
Today, I create modern, beginner-friendly sewing patterns designed to help you make clothes you’ll actually love wearing.
In the sewing room — where every The Sewing Birdie pattern gets sewn first.
What we believe
I believe sewing your own wardrobe isn’t about making more clothes, but about making pieces that feel like you. That’s why I love designing versatile patterns with thoughtful details that you can make your own through fabric choices and personal touches.
- Nobody should sew alone That's why most of our patterns come with a video sew-along you can pause and rewind.
- Beginner-friendly, not basic Clean techniques and a finish you'll be proud to wear.
- One size chart, every pattern Learn your size once and it works across the whole collection.

How a pattern is made
Waiting on owner input: the drafting and filming steps, in your own words
What you get with every pattern
- Sizes US 0–18 in one file — so you don’t buy twice if your size changes.
- Layered PDFs — turn off the sizes you don’t need and print only yours.
- Print at home or at a copy shop — A4 and US Letter, or A0 if you’d rather skip the taping.
- Illustrated, step-by-step instructions — and most patterns include a full video sew-along.
- Tested before it reaches you — every design is sewn by at least three testers, in different sizes.
- Instant download — start sewing tonight.
If something’s unclear, email me and you’ll get a reply from the person who drafted the pattern — usually within one working day. Send me your finished make and I’ll feature it. [email protected]
Through my patterns and tutorials, I hope to make sewing feel more approachable, creative and fun — whether you’re making your very first garment or you’ve been sewing for years. I’m so happy you’re here, and I can’t wait to see what you create!
